Business to Business

You’ve probably heard the term “Business to Business” before and wondered what it means. It’s a phrase used to refer to a marketing strategy effective for businesses to businesses; as opposed to Business to Consumer. The marketing strategy of Business to Business is commonly abbreviated as B2B and tends to differ greatly from a Business to Customer strategy known a B2C in a variety of ways. The divide between the former and the latter have however in recent years become a little blurry with the effect of the former becoming more and more visible within the Business to Customer realm.

The Business to Business marketing strategy is based some what on a no frills concept. A business to business strategy does not have to sell its product in the same way as it might when selling to the public. The same applied for accounting firms targeting other firms and not the private individual. As an example of how B2B works imagine that a stationary company specializing in distribution of office supplies will have a far less glamorous sales strategy than an actual stationary shop targeting the consumer. This concept has rolled over to an extent into the Business to Customer realm with the recent trend for de-emphasizing service; a good example of this is no-frills airlines.

A business to business directory will provide you with all the services that you could ever need, or dream of needing and all specifically for business purposes. These companies deal specifically with other business only, and this will be reflected in the service they offer and also their price. The choice is beyond belief, and for the majority of services you are able to order, request, commission and assign from your very office. The advantage of Business to Business is that the people on the other end know how busy you are; how important speed is; the need for perfection. Because these companies deal with professionals, they too are professional. Business to Business means high quality services just the way you need them!
