Default Banking and me.

I have had problems with my bank several times. They
have doubled charged me with NSF fees. They have also
done the same with ATM fees.
I have the on line banking option and can check my account
at any time of day and any day of the week. I love it because
I can see what I have available before I go to the bank and I
can also see what the bank itself has been up too.
I would suggest that if you don't already have this set up that
you do so it is so much easier than standing in line or trying to
solve things over the phone with no hard information to look at.

Default Banking and me.

A friend of mine recently had a charge for NSF and took the cash to pay for it along with his paycheck to deposit into his account. I believe the amount for the NSF was $68.00. He gave the clerk the money for it first and then he gave her his check to deposit. He thought all was well until he went to make a withdrawal from his account and not all of the funds were there, he was $68.00 short. The clerk had just put the cash in the register and didn't erase his $68.00 debt. Therefore $68.00 was taken out of his account from his paycheck to cover it. He couldn't find his reciept from paying it so they told him there was nothing he could do about it. Lesson learned: Make sure you keep your receipts!
