Default Choosing a Bank

Choosing a bank is a hard to decision to make. Usually once you make your choice they are your bank for years and years so it is an important decision to make. You really should shop around and see who is offering what.

Many times I have seen banks offer like fifty free bucks if you open an account with them and other incentives. Don't just jump on a deal like that though because many times they have hidden fees and things and it can turn out to be a very bad deal after all.

Look for a bank that has free checking with free checks as well. You can also find those that offer free debit/credit cards as well. My bank gives me my card for free although if I use it as debit it costs me a quarter per transaction so I always use it as credit which is free.

My bank also has free Christmas Clubs which is great to save up money for the holidays.

Choosing a bank isn't something you should do on a whim. Take your time and look around to get the best deal for your needs.

Default Re: Choosing a Bank

Not only should you shop around but you should ask your friends who they use,and what kind of experience has it been for them.

You should check out the cost of having the account and what kind of protection and fees that hey offer.

You should check into linking your checking and savings accounts together this way you won't bounce a check, they will just move the funds from your savings to your checking account to cover the cost.

Not all banks offer this option, but if you find one that does it will save you alot of money in the ling run.It is like having insurance, except that you are your own insurance and it doesn't cost you much at all if anything.
