Default New Bank Accounts & Free Money

Have any of you seen commericals or recieve letters from your local banks where they are offering you money to open a new account with them?

I have seen a few on Tv and today I got a letter from one. I know that there has to be some kind of catch, but I wonder what it is?

Has anyone ever looked into any of these offers to see what they are all about.

My guess is that you have to keep the account for so long and keep a set amount (probably a large amount) of money in the account. At least that is my guess.

Maybe I should look into them, but honestly I am not that interested in them. I don't have a bank account for the reason I don't trust banks.

Default Re: New Bank Accounts & Free Money

I deal exclusively with Wesbanco in our area and they have had deals like this before and I have taken advantage of them.

I opened a checking account and deposited $50 and 30 days later my account was graced with the $50 that they had promised.

There is no high limit of cash you have to keep in your account and its a relatively easy process to get the money that they offer. Just open a checking account and deposit and the rest will be added within the time they set forth in the rules for getting the money.
