Default One Bank Towns

In the town where I live there is only one bank. This is a very bad idea because this bank seems to believe that it can do practically what ever it wants because there is no one competition for business here in this small town. The next nearest bank is at least a 20 minute drive in any direction.

That drive is just to long for a lot of people, especially those who are in a hurry or are elderly. Yet this bank charges some shocking rates, seems to make up banking changes as they see fit and it seems to get worse on a daily basis.

Of course they do have an ATM outside which means that anyone with a bank card can access their money but not with out paying horrible fees for the use of this machine.

This one bank in this small town seems to have the people just where they want them, because people don't have a choice at all if they wish to have a bank close to home.
