It is simpler these days to bank online. I do this and it saves alot of time. I can check my balances and see what has gone through my bank to date.

I also use automatic bill pay. It is quick,simple and easy to sign up. It saves in many ways. No paper bills and no checks to write. All you have to do is signup with your bill companies for this service.

My bank does not charge me for the service as long as I am signed up for paperless billing. I get all of my reciepts online and can also view my bills in the same manner.

Online banking isn't for everyone as many don't even own a computer. Some don't have the consistancy in their financial lives to allow them to pay this way but if you can do it for peace of mind and to help save a few trees in the process.
