Default Switching Banks.

We have decided to switch banks or credit unions. My husband has been with his for about 20 years but since we moved 15 years ago using it has become more and more difficult.

Everytime we have to update our information, like our marriage, we have to drive an hour and a half to the main branch. None of the service centers are authorized to handle the paperwork.

We also have many ATM fees associated with using our debit card as the local service centers aren't located centrally to where we shop. We have had enough so sorry to say we must relocated to another facility.

Its a shame to have to leave them but it will solve alot of our financial arguments as I won't have to watch where I withdraw from an ATM.

I know what you're talking about carol b. I've wanted to switch banks many times in the past few years since I have an account with a large bank and they get larger every four years or so.

I have to stop myself and think of all the problems I would have if I do change banks...
I'd have to notify all the banks I have loans with and tell them my account number has changed, plus my online payment systems would have to be updated too.

Sometimes you have to change just to keep on an even keel with the charges some banks impose on you. If you dont have the ATMs near you that that bank uses, the fees can be substantial.

Just make sure that when you do it you do it to work out your deposits from any paychecks you may have been using so that they come on time.

Good luck with the change over.
