Talking Vanguard Capital, Inc. Offers Extra FDIC Insurance Coverage

Vanguard Capital is a national securities broker-dealer founded in 1988. It's licensed in all 50 states and Puerto Rico and offers FDIC insured bank deposits, U.S. Treasury securities, and other publicly traded investments.
Securities accounts are insured by the SIPC (Securities Investors Protection Corporation) to $500,000. The firm is registered with the SEC, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Certificates of deposit are insured by the FDIC. It is based in La Jolla, California.

Vanguard Capital, Inc. is now offering up to $50 million in FDIC insurance coverage throught the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDARS). A Managing Director at Vanguard Capital said that bank failures and the general financial turbulence has led many individuals, fiduciaries and corporations to re-think their banking strategies and have many of them searching for ways to increase their federally insured protection.

The CDARS program offers corporations, LLC's, non-profits, trusts, individuals and fiduciaries the ability to obtain up to $50 million in FDIC insurance coverage for their bank deposits, with the customer being able to choose to invest in many different short term to intermediate term CD's, which are all insured by the FDIC.

CDARS, which is a national deposit placement service, operates over a network of 2,300 member banks and achieves higher FDIC coverage by spreading large deposits over multiple federally insured banks. As an example, if an investor should deposit $500,000, these funds are then disbursed over six network banks, which provide full insurance of both the principal and the interest.

The CDARS program offers competitive interest rates, in addition to safety for the investors. The investor receives a consolidated financial statement which shows all deposits made, interest rates, and maturity dates, with the customer being able to choose to target a specific maturity date, or can also ladder their maturities to meet any cash requirements that they may have.
Also tax reporting is made simple with a single tax statement at the year's end.

This is the most timely investment vehicle seen in many years, for safe money investors.
