Default Almost Tax Time

In just a short time it will be time for everyone to get their taxes filed for another year.

It seems that we all just got done with stuff and here we go again . I worked this year to keep myself organized so it would be easier on myself this year. I hope that you all have done the same thing.

I hate tax time, because it seems to always be a huge hassle, and normally I forget something that I need . I hope that doesn't happen this year but I guess I will find out soon enough.

I hope that you all are also ready to get your taxes done as well and have managed to keep everything organized to make it easier.

Default Re: Almost Tax Time

I always say that I'm going to be organized but it rarely happens. I have a lot to do to get ready. I am really hoping for a decent return this year though because I need to pay for my daughter's trip to Europe with it. I have some of it paid already but I still have a ways to go.

Speaking of taxes though have you heard about the new tax cut package that is being looked through and considered right now? In my opinion it's horrific and in the end we are only going to be worse off for it.

There are several things in the package and I don't really care for any of it.

One is to give tax breaks to employers who invest in equipment or plants. That is estimated to cost $21 billion over twenty years. I don't see where this will help them though. They don't need new equipment for the most part. They need customers! They have supplies and equipment. They need someone to buy their services. More equipment sitting around collecting dust won't help anyone!

The entire tax cut package will cost almost $900 billion dollars!!! I really wish they'd stop spending money that we don't have on all of these nonsense things that in the end will have no positive effect on the economy. It's like same old song and dance. I'm so tired of it.
