Wink Back to School tax holiday

There are more than twelve states which willingly suspend the sales tax on back to school items such as computers, clothing and other school supplies. This is all to help the people of these states soften the cost of back to school. This is extremely helpful to those parents who find themselves trying to stretch every dollar as far as it will go. This is also helping to boost sales for the local retailers. Because the tax holiday's have been so successful, some states are extending the holiday and even increasing the types of products which will be tax free.

West Virginia and Vermont are the latest states to take part in this tax holiday.

It is left to the towns and counties to decide whether or not they will participate in the tax holiday. Check with your state tax commission to see what your town offers before you begin shopping, and find out what items are included in this tax holiday as it differs from state to state.

Here is a list of states who will be holding tax holidays:
Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Louisana, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia.

These are sadfully the only states who hold tax holidays. This is something that all states should be holding, especially since the prices of everything seems to keep soaring higher and higher.
