Default Donation Deductions

This is the time of year when we all see more and more charities out and about collecting money, clothing, toys and other things to help those in need.

One thing that most people don't do is keep track of how much they give, to what charity and so on. These things need to be tracked because some may possibly be deducted from taxes and save yourself some money come tax time.

I know personally this is something I have never kept track of before, but it is something I am going to start doing this year. I can't claim that it is going to help come tax time, but it never hurts to at least try.

So the next time you drop some change into a bucket take note of the amount, the charity and the date and maybe you can save yourself some money on your taxes.
