Default Higher Taxes Soon??

I hate to say this but I am sure that we have all thought about it at one time or another.

With the oil spill going on off the Gulf of Mexico, I am thinking that we are most likely going to see an increase in the taxes and the amount of taxes that we pay out.

That is most likely the only way the government knows how to get enough money together to pay for the cost of the clean up.

In my personal opinion I think that the BP company should be responsible for the entire cost of the clean up because this spill is in fact their fault and the fact that they were not at all prepared what so ever for something like this.

This is of course just my personal opinion, but I don't know how else this country is going to be able to pay for this clean up when it is going to cost around $69 million. As the days go by and the oil keeps spilling into the ocean that amount is of course only going to increase.

Obama has said that BP was going to be held fully responsible for what has happened with the oil spill. It is the companies fault that this has happened to the degree that it has.

If the taxes get raised for this reason I think that we should all picket against the fact of it happening. The government has to listen then.Doesn't BP have insurance to pay for this? You would think so,they make us get insurance for everything.

I have heard about Obama saying that the company BP is going to be responsible for the cost of the clean up, but just like all large companies that are in the world, they seem to be able to do as they please and only pay what they wish!

My guess is that Obama is going to try maybe to make them pay, but something will go on and the money is actually going to end up comming out of our wallets instead of BP's.

This seems to be the way that most things happen in this country so why should now be so different.

I am not saying that I want higher taxes because only someone who is insane would want something like that. I want BP to pay for it because it is their mess, but something tells me in the long run, we the people are going to be paying this bill.

I do not know what is wrong with our government and their regulations now a days.I can't believe that they are going to end up making us pay for someone elses mistake.

This is going to cost more money than they are estimating to I believe.Fifty six million dollars is not going to cover all of the damage that will be done by the oil spill. It will not pay the people out on Florida's beaches cleaning up the oil that is washing in.

People are trying hard to keep the tourist season going for as long as they can right now around that area, summer is going to be harsh for them.

Two days ago it was said that the clean up was going to cost some where along the lines of $69 million. Though I don't know if this is the total cost or just what BP has to pay or what.

Though seeing how that was two days ago and I don't believe that at this time the oil spill has been stopped, so that number is most likely increasing by the minute.

This is why I believe that we the people are going to end up paying higher taxes because that is one hell of a bill to pay and there is no way our goverment is going to pay that. Then again they never do, we all do by paying their taxes and so what ever else they can think of to take more and more money from our pockets.

Here is the latest that I have heard reguarding all of this. Apparently Obama is attempting to make the BP company completely pay for the entire clean up of this massive oil spill.

Of course what is normally said and what is done can be something completely different in this country.

Though if BP is not forced to pay the clean up bill, then of course the money is going to end up coming out of our pockets. Which it will one way or another.

If BP does have to pay the entire bill of clean up then most likely they will just raise their prices to help offset the costs.

So really either way this goes, the people are going to be the ones to pay for it as usual.

This is very aggrevating. We the people shouldnt have to pay more at the gas pumps or in taxes to offset what BP will have to pay out to stop this oil spill and clean up the mess they have made.

We didnt cause this but we always end up being the ones to pay dearly when it comes to big companies having to make right what they did.

BP brings in massive amounts of money everyday and it isnt going to cause them any dire amount of damage financially to clean up their mess. But it sure will hurt us to have to contribute to the financial part of this.

Clean it up BP and use your own money and leave us alone. We all have it hard enough right now as it is, dont make it harder on us.

I don't think that we should have to pay for this in any way either, but then again as we all know it is the people who end up paying for EVERYTHING in one way or another.

I hope that this doesn't effect us in any way, and my fingers are crossed that it won't. However I am not going to hold my breath about it either.
