Default Some Tax, Some Wont

Alot lately there we all have been seeing areas where there will be no new taxes put upon the people. While in some other areas people will be seeing several new taxes, that they will be forced to pay.

Why is it that that some areas are able to find ways to help the people with out raising taxes or adding new ones and other areas seem to always have to raise or add taxes?

Maybe those areas which are adding or raising taxes need to take a few lessons on how to deal with their deficits with out raising the money by taking more from the people.

Right now there is just to much spending going on by the goverment and local officals, and the people are being forced to pay for it in the end. If the needless spending would stop, I believe that it would be more beneficial to the people.

So many people right now are struggling, and barely making ends meet on a monthly basis, and the idea of adding on new taxes or increasing taxes which already exist, only harm the people.

I agree completely!! There are to many taxes as is. It seems the middle class people are the ones that suffer the most. The rich get richer, the poor has welfare. The middle class seems to be the ones that pay for everyone. What is wrong with this picture?

I can see some of our tax dollars at work in our area, we have had two new schools built in the past couple of years. But what bothers me about that is, why were the old schools torn down if they were structurally sound?

These buildings could have been used for apartments or as office buildings if their conditions allowed bringing in extra income for the towns in which they were located. One school was made into apartments, but was probably bought by an individual that is now enjoying an added income.

As to our roads, they are horrific any more with severe dips and pot holes. Which makes me wonder just where else our tax dollars are going.

It seems that with all of the taxes we pay on everything, that there would be better road conditions in the area. Sure, the interstates and major roads are getting some repairs, but the other roads that have rather heavy traffic are just as bad as ever. Why not put some of our tax money into these roads as well?

It seems that maybe our officials need some schooling in the proper way to use all appropriated funds. Be they from taxes or whatever. We pay out a lot in taxes and should be able to clearly see where they are being used.

Taxes are important if they are used properly. When they are being used for schools and roads and so on they are worthy. Right now though, we cannot afford to pay more taxes and still keep our own families afloat. For the time being especially, governments need to make tax cuts so that we may all get our heads above the water.
