Default Tax dates you need to know.

December 31st is the last day of the previous year that you can make payments that can be deducted from the next years return. Its also the last day you can create a Keogh plan so that the contribution can be deducted.

January 15th is the last day for the fourth quarter estimated tax payment.

February 2nd is the last day that the government gives for you to recieve your W2s. If you dont have them by then, contact your employer.

February 15th is the last day to file for new W4 forms in order to continue exemptions for the next year.

March 2nd is for farmers and fishermen to file and pay taxes due if you have missed your estimated tax payment.

March 16th is for corporations, so check with your preparers for any necessary filings.

April 15th as you know is when your tax return is due to be in the hands of the IRS. You can file an extension till October 15th.

June 15th is for people working out of the country. Also, second quarter payments are due now.

September 15th third quarter tax payments are due on this date.

October 15th is when your taxes are due if you filed an extension for the year.
