Default Tax Donations

Last time I had my taxes done I was asked if I wanted to use part of my refund to help charities send food and clothing to diseaster areas around the world. Was this something that was offered to any of you as well??

I of course denied that right away. I rather my money stay here in the country rather than be used some where else.

I wonder if this is something that I am going to be asked every single time I get my taxes done or if it was a one time deal?

I will always opt out of doing this if they do ask. There are enough charities right here in my home country that deserve my money more.
