Default Tax extension till April 17th this year.

Because April 15th is a holiday in the DC area, the IRS is now saying that the filing deadline will be on April 18th. And those who ask for an extension will have their taxes due on October 17th this year.

Others that wont be able to file until mid February are teachers that are claiming the $250 classroom expenses deduction, and higher education deductions on form 8917.
