Default Taxes- I'm Ready. Bring It On!

I am almost ready to file my income tax and get my refund!!! I'm not sure what I have coming but I do know that I over paid. I always set up my witholding so that I will have over paid.

I have gotten my w-2 from one employer and I am waiting for my other one. I imagine I will have it soon. I am also waiting on my husbands W-2 but it should be here anytime as well.

I am kind of anxious to get it done this year because my oldest daughter is going to Europe in April and thats how I am paying for it.

It has to be paid for by March 1st so I gotta get it done!!!

Are you guys all ready for filing time?

It can be a pain in the butt but it's better to just get it over with.

We are ready here. Everything has been gathered up and gotten together and we are just waiting on W2s also.

Once we get them, the taxes will be given to the CPA, filed, signed, and mailed in.

Hopefully this year we wont owe very much. Its always so irritating that we always owe taxes but then again, thats because we have always been self employed.

My husband is strictly self-employed and I have one job that is self-employment. So I know first hand how bad that stinks! I do however typically get some amount returned for overpayment because of my other job. I always claim zero throughout the year so that they take plenty of taxes out of me. That way we don't end up owing the government any. They owe me lol!

It's kind of funny how people think about their refunds. (I am the same way) It's like we get all excited about it as if it's free money or something. However in reality we just gave the government an interest free loan throughout the year and now it's time for them to pay up.

It is our money to begin with.

I just read that last years average return was a little over $3,000. Thats awesome.

As I said before my return will be gone as soon as I get it this year. I still have to pay off my daughter's trip to Europe and thats the only way it's going to happen!
