Default AAA Membership

I have been getting a lot of those AAA membership offers lately and I have been considering enrolling. Are any of you AAA members?

It costs something like $35 a month to be a member but it does cover a lot.

Any vehicle that I was in, even if it isn't my own is covered. If we would get a flat tire, someone would come and change it. If we ran out of gas, they'd bring gas. It of course includes towing as well. And also you get to give a card to a friend or family member so that they are covered as well.

I just don't know that it's worth $35 a month. I mean if I am lucky and I don't break down for an entire year, thats a lot of money that I have paid out for nothing.

I don't know. What have your experiences been with the company?

Personal experiences dealing with AAA is that I would NEVER drive without it.

I had once taken a friend of mine to visit family in an area I was not at all familiar with. Needless to say my car ended up breaking down. AAA saved me that night. We were stuck there for the night and they went and compared several hotels for us and even got us a huge discount on the rate of the rooms because we had to spend the night there.

They also towed my car to the hotel for me for the night and the next day I was able to get the car easily fixed. Though if it were not for AAA I don't know what I would have done or who I would have called for help because my family was in a different state and it would have been to far for any of them to come to our rescue.

Also during my parents divorce my father seemed to take pleasure in slicing the tires on my mothers car. AAA also came to her rescue SEVERAL times when that happened.

If you can get AAA then I have to suggest that you do. Chances that you need it are not often however when you end up stuck somewhere and don't know what to do, they always come to the rescue.

The cost of membership is well worth it. It is a huge piece of mind whether your in your own car or someone else's.

Also if you have teenagers of driving age, having that AAA membership also gives you piece of mind that if they were to break down you know that they can call for help as well. That takes some of the worry out of allowing kids to drive.

I am not a AAA member, because my insurance company offers something like it with the insurance that I habe through them.I get free gas up if I run out, free lockout if I get locked out of my car,I also get my tire changed if I have a flat,a battery jumped for free if I need it and I also get a free twenty five mile tow.

I only pay about ten dollars a month additional through my insurance company. This is all I need and is really cheap too.

Hmm, you got me wondering if I could get something like that through my insurance company. Thats a great deal. i wouldn't mind just ten bucks a month extra. It would be worth it.

I am going to look into that.
