Default Animals.

I need help I love my animals but they are annoying the hell out of me. I have 2 cats one of which is a stray that just had 3 kittens.

I have 2 dogs one is an outside dog the other is an inside dog. He is a minpin, jack russell mix.

Anyway try as I may they don't like to behave well at all. I took moms advice and started throwing them outside.

Does anyone know how to stop an animal from randomly peeing where ever it pleases.

I keep the cat box clean but the oldest cat chooses to pee on whatever is handy. She gets on my table and the stove.

I have tried using a water bottle and a squirt gun to no avail. I want to keep them but am at wits end.

Suggestions that don't include murder are taken seriously. The little dog barks contantly and it drives me insane. HELP!

Hmmmm, well, I am lucky, I have very well behaved animals. A dog and 2 cats.

Taking your dog to a professional trainer can be pretty expensive. So let me try to help you out here. First of all, if your inside dog is not neutered, have that done immediately. The neutering of male dogs can help to curb their territory marking which is what he is doing when he pees everywhere. Jack Russel Terriors are high strung and that doesnt help a bit.

The barking can be controlled simply by diverting his attention. Keep doing that and eventually he will get the message not to bark. Try poking his hip when he barks and go shhhhh. Let me know how that works.

As to the cats, find something they are afraid of. Like a piece of paper or a fly swatter. You dont have to hit them. Just their seeing the object will make them stop after a bit.

Make sure to get the cats neutered too. You will be very surprised at the change you will see within a month after that is done and its much cheaper than trying to get someone to train them for you.

Getting pets spayed or neutered are always a good idea to prevent breeding.

As for the cat which thinks it rules the roost well there are mats that you can purchase which vibrate. These can be laid on counters and what not. Cats don't like it when they step on the mat and will jump off. This might be a good training tool to teach them where to go and where they are not allowed.

Now as for the barking dog, well there could be countless reason why he/she is always barking. If he/she is outside all of the time try moving them to a differnt are of the yard. They may have a problem with where they are and bark all of the time because of it. Also there are bark collars that you might want to look into. I don't like seeing an animal being hurt but there are collars which will vibrate when they bark and it will teach them not to bark. I don't care for shock collars as I believe they are cruel.

Now as for the cat which urinates where it pleases, this could be a health problem. I would start off by getting the cat into the vets to check for a problem. If a clean bill of health is given then there is another problem that has to be identified and delt with. As I said before spaying and neutering pets I believe is a must.

If you would like more ideas on how to deal with these problems let me know and I will do a bit more research and get you more ideas of things to try.
