Bankrobber Shot Pregnant Teller, She Lost Twins

Bankrobberies have been occurring for years and years, but with the bad economy we have been seeing more incidents of this lately. This one ended very badly.

Brian Kendrick has been arrested and faces charges of attempted murder and two counts of feticide. He allegedly shot Katherin Shuffield, bank teller, at the Huntington bank branch in Indianapolis.

Katherin Shuffield was 5 months pregnant with twins, she was shot in the abdomen.The bank had just opened when two gunmen jumped over the teller's station and fired. She lost her babies two days later.

Aaron Stewart was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery for his role in the incident.

More than 400 officers worked the case, following tips and leads. Deputy Police Chief William Benjamin said they did not leave a tip unturned.

Both men, Kendrick and Stewart are jailed under a 72 hour hold and will have formal charges filed against them on Monday.

What is the world coming to? I feel so bad for this woman, I cannot imagine her pain. This type of thing will continue as long as people are struggling financially.

This is such a brutal crime!! It sounds like those robbers just shot and didn't even care who, or what they shot at. I hope they get the maximum sentence for their crimes and hope they get it quickly. Thank goodness they were at least caught and are now behind bars.

My prayers are with this woman and her husband, and family. How awful to be happily expecting the birth of twins, and then have them torn away from you like this. This is all just unimaginable to me. I don't know what I would do without my family, I can't even bear the thought of losing one of my children, or grandchildren. They are everything to me.
