Default Cheap and Easy Halloween Costumes

I wish I had read these ideas before I went out and spend a small fortune on my daughters costume. I would much rather have made my own and saved my money not to mention that when you buy a costume from a store, chances are someone else will be wearing the same exact thing!

Here a few simple ones that I thought would be cool.

Japanese Doll- All you need to do is make a simple kimono, paint the face white, paint the cheeks in a small rosy circle, put the hair in buns and wear little thong slippers.

Miss America- Put on an old bridesmaid gown and create a sash using a scrap of material. Write Miss America on the sash with glitter and do up the hair and make-up. Simple.

Snowman- Buy a black hat from a second hand store and paint it with some white spray paint, as if there is some snow on it. Glue on a small red bird bird. Wear white sweatpants and sweatshirt, colored gloves and scarf. Make a carrot nose using cardboard and a string to hold it on. Paint the face white and add black buttons onto the sweatshirt. How cute is that!
