Default Cigarette Labels Aimed at Getting Smokers to Quit

Smoking is very expensive and terrible on the body. I am a smoker and I know that and yet I haven't been able to quit. I would love to because I am sick of spending my hard earned money on them.

Well I guess in 2012 we can expect new labels to be on the cigarette packs. These labels are aimed at getting people to quit. I guess they are very detailed, very graphic.

There will be nine different labels featuring rotten teeth, diseased lungs, a man on a ventilator, dead bodies and a weeping woman.

I read that just since the news of the new labels have come out they have seen a big boost in those calling the quit smoking hotline which is good. I guess maybe I should make that call as well.

I have tried the patch and it did absolutely nothing for me. I have tried cold turkey and made it two days. I don't really know how to quit.

For anyone else: 1-800-QUIT NOW.

I am also a smoker, but the labels that you have listed won't be a bother to me. I roll my own tobacco because it is much less expensive so the chances of me seeing those labels are slim unless they are going to be putting them on bags of tobacco as well.

Even though I save more money than most smokers because I do roll my own, it is still an expense that could save me a good bit of money if I were to quit.

I have managed to get myself from smoking more than a pack a day down to about 9 per day. That is an accomplishment in my book. Still it doesn't seem that I can get it any lower, at least not yet.
