Farmers in the United States and Australia needed to have record crops this year to feed a hungry world, but US farmers have had too much rain for their corn and soybean crops, and Australia hasn't had enough for their wheat.

This is bad news for all of us. Farmers have planted (or at least plowed the fields) for a huge crop this year, and to have these crops fail would be a disaster. The world needs this food in a bad way, but it just may not happen.
We can only hope the weather will start to cooperate, and that they can save those crops.
