Jobs in michigan.

Now I was reading something the other day regarding jobs here locally. The article stated that manufacturers were hiring but no one was applying.

This really does not surprise me at all. I mean most people who are laid off are laid off or unemployed due to the loss of work at many manufactures.

There is also the problem of wages. If you have to travel any distance at all for an $8 an hour job it just isn't worth it at the end of the week.

The other issue is that we just aren't hearing about these jobs. I mean this was the first time that I had heard about jobs being available. I have been reading the newspaper and checking the employment websites and finding nothing.

The article was for a place called south central michigan works. This is where you have to go if you recieve unemployment benifits. It is a requirement. Now if there was someone helping more when people visit they might apply for some of these jobs. Many won't apply because they don't have the experience in some of the manufacturing areas.
