Default Man protests high gas prices.

This guy is really showing people that there are other ways to get
about. We all need to be energy concious and he is really drawing
attention.

Quote:
PALMER, Mass. — With the price of gas soaring, Ronald Weston used old-fashioned horsepower to travel from his Brimfield home to downtown here — his Percherons Pete and Perry.
"I don't want to see people going backwards," Weston said, referring to using horses over cars. "But this is to show them there are alternatives."

You have to really respect people who take the initiative. He wanted
to make a statement and he has.

This man has a point, we did get along without cars for an awful long time, and it is possible to at least take some short trips without them. I'm not sure that we have to go backwards though, lol. Taking 2 hours to go 16 miles is a bit much, but instead of jumping in our cars to drive just a block or 2, it would be good for our health if we would just walk. I for one, am doing that. Also, I acquired a bicycle a few weeks ago, and after it gets a little work done on it, I intend to use it when possible. We just have to use our brains a little bit, and come up with some alternatives.

Default he just might have something

Well now he just might have something there''
i mean at least the price of feeding has not gone up yet
and until that happens i say he has the right idea
It look like it might be cheaper to feed and house a horse then
put gas in a car

Default

If I had a horse I guarentee that I would be riding it. To the store to the Dr. and where ever else is close enough not to over work the horse or take two hours to do it.
