Default Paychecks Not Going Up

Well this isn't good news. I hear that most people can forget getting a raise any time soon on their paychecks. They say that paychecks have pretty much flat lined as of late and they don't foresee any change in that in the near future.

What you make now, is what you will make for some time to come unless you lose your job altogether which is worse of course.

I get a small raise once per year and I do mean small. I have been with the same company for years now and I don't make much more than I did when I started despite having moved up the ladder a bit. And to think that my annual raise may be in jeapordy really stinks. I count on getting it.

Have any of you guys experienced a lack of a raise that you thought you would get?

I have to say yes. My pay hasn't changed over the past 2 1/2 years. I am still making the same amount since the day I started working.

This really sucks because everything else is going up and when paychecks don't increase as well to make up the difference it seriously makes things difficult!!

I would love to claim that money doesn't make this world turn, but that really isn't true because without money you have NOTHING.

Even people getting social security no longer get a yearly raise, that they depend on, with everything going up so high. It is hard for everyone young and old, but if you are lucky enough to have a job, better just grin and bare it, with so many people without anything. I have watched friends go from having it all,a great job, to losing it all due to lay-off's, or the company closed its doors.
