Fat chance I say but who knows what can happen!
And I am not a pot smoker not that I'd expect anyone to say they are, just thought I should make that clear lol.
I read that a bill is being introduced that would allow states to make their own decisions regarding the legality of marijuana. States may be able to decide that their residents can grow and sell pot.
Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul and outspoken Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank want to get the federal government out of the marijuana regulation business.
States should make their own rules concerning the leafy green stuff, and regulate it themselves, the pair propose in legislation that will be introduced Thursday.
The bill would allow the Feds to continue enforcing cross-border or inter-state smuggling, but states would set their own laws, and people could grow and sell marijuana in places that choose to make it legal.

I'm not going to lie, I have been around people in the past who smoke pot and I have to say that drinking alcohol is worse. Most people can smoke pot (small amounts) and drive and work and do things perfectly normally. Put a couple of beers in someone and that person shouldn't drive or operate machinary or anything. For most people marijuana has a calming effect.
I don't know how I feel as far as it being legal but I do think that it's better than alcohol.
I also know that jails and prisons are filled to the brim with "pot offenders" and we pay to keep them there. We could probably find a better crime to fight and pay for.
