Default Prescription Costs.

If you are having issues with your prescription costs and are older or recently unemployed check you drug manufacturers website.

Pfizer has information on its website about how to get assistance.

Quote:
Pfizer Inc announced today that it will launch an innovative program to help eligible unemployed Americans and their families who have lost their health insurance maintain access to their Pfizer medicines for free. The inspiration for the new program, called MAINTAIN™ (Medicines Assistance for Those who Are in Need), was generated by Pfizer employees who were witnessing friends, family and neighbors struggle to make ends meet after losing their jobs.
Quote:
The program, which applies regardless of prior family income, will be open for enrollment through December 31, 2009 and applies to eligible Americans who have become unemployed since January 1, 2009.

Eligibility requirements of the new program include:

Default Re: Prescription Costs.

What a useful post this is. Thank you!

My husbands company just changed the insurance they offer its employees due to financial difficulities, they say....and we now have a $7500 Deductible before they cover any medical prescriptions or doctors app.!!!!

We both take at least 6 different meds a day and i have COPD, which means oxygen, tests and doctor app. all the time, and now we can't afford to get our meds or doc apps. because we don't have $7500 to through out the door! and the sad things is they take over 120$ per check for insurance and it went up $11 more dollars but took away everything!

So info like this may come in handy for us very soon. Thank you again

Pat
