What I feel is especially alarming is the fact that the percentage of people who actually take advantage of rebate offers is unbelievably low--something like 40%. Kind of makes you wonder about the business practices of rebate companies. I didn't even realize that companies like Amazon.com use rebates so much--you really have to look at the fine print of your purchase; if you do, chances are there is a rebate there just waiting for you, or, at the very least, a special offer. And as much shopping as I do on Amazon, I really have to teach myself to be more observant. (Sorry this post is such rambling one!
