Default Rethinking Welfare.

Did you know that welfare does not pay for dental or eyecare for adults? I thought that they would at least help with basic care.

Well I was wrong. What I would like to know is where does all of the tax money that I pay my state go.

Every time I turn around they are saying we have a deficit and they are going to make cuts.

Where do they spend the money? Why don't we have basic medical care for the needy?

The unemployment rate remains high and so many are forced to use the free clinic as they can't get help. I just don't understand it and it worries me to no end.

You know that I think you are right, they do need to rethink this issue.

An adult that cannot see properly cannot go to work in any kind of a job that entails reading and typing etc because of poor eyesight so they will just stay on welfare.

Dental issues can lead to much worse physical illnesses. Bad teeth can cause heart attacks and strokes. So once again, that person would not be able to work.

Give people the help they need to get them back into the work force and off the welfare rolls.

It is honestly sad that this is the way things are in this country, but it is all true. Adults do not have the basic care that many of them need. I know that there are many people right now who are in need of a dentist or an optometrist, but don't have the money or the insurance.

It's sad but that is how things are and most likely will continue to be this way for many years to come.

As for free clinics, there are so many people who were laid off and put out of work that many of this countries free clinics were turning some people away because they weren't able to handle everyone who was in need.

That is something that should never happen. No one should have to life without the basic needs, but many are forced to every single day!!
