Default Saudi Prince Wants Lower Oil Prices for Americans

Haha this is laughable. Saudi Prince, Al-Waleed bin Talal is calling on his country to lower the cost of oil so that Americans and Europe don't continue to wean off of the Saudia Arabian oil supply.

Quote:
"We don't want the West to go and find alternatives, because, clearly, the higher the price of oil goes, the more they have incentives to go and find alternatives," said Talal, who is listed by Forbes as the 26th richest man in the world.
He said the cost per barrel should be between $70-$80 not over $100 as it is.

That kills me coming from a man who is the 26th richest in the world!!!!

The United States needs to find a way to only be dependant on ourselves. Why do we continue to make everyone else richer while we are hitting rock bottom here!

I would like to see gas prices come down because they are just to high right now and have been, but I really would like to see as you mentioned Pennypinch this country become dependant on itself and not everyone else.

If we could become indepentant then we would no longer carry the worries of the entire world like we always have.

It is funny hearing news like this coming from someone who is one of the worlds richest people. Though he only said this because he probably got his riches from something to do with oil and wants to make sure that his dollar amounts continue to increase.
