Default Speed Up Your PC

Computers cost an arm and a leg to begin with. After some time they become slower, a bit sluggish with use. Nine times out of ten you don't need a new computer when that happens. You just need to perform some simple maintenance to make it like brand new.

First of all you need to clean up your hard drive. The simplest way to do that is to use Disk Clean-up. For most computers click on start, programs, accessories and then system tools. There you will find disk clean-up.

Next you want to open your browser and click on tools. In the pop up menu choose internet options. From there you can clean up cookies, saved passwords and so on.

Disk defragmentation is essential for your pc. Simply follow the same instructions as you would for disk clean-up only choose defragmentation instead.

If you look at your desktop you will probably find lots of unnecessary icons. You can get rid of many of those as well.

If you use your pc a lot you should perform these tasks about once a week to maintain your pc speed.

I am always using my computer and I do these tasks every single week to help maintain the speed of it. There have even been times when I noticed a couple of days after doing these tasks that it would get sluggish again so I would of course once again clean the cookies and defrag.

It makes a huge difference in the performance of a computer. This computer I use is seriously old, though because I take care of it, I imagine that it will be with me for several more years.

I have also recently learned that if you download Google Chrome it also helps to speed up the performance of your computer. My sister suggested this to me because I play a lot of online games as well as work online, and she said that it would help things move faster. I hate to admit to her that she was right, but then again most of the time she is,LOL.

Now that I have started using Google Chrome along with performing the other tasks on my computer I am really surprised at just how fast everything is on this old computer. I can't believe that it was able to make such a huge difference but it does.

Taking care of your computer is the perfect way to save yourself some money rather than just going out and purchasing a new one.

Physically taking care of your computer is also a necessary part of keeping its performance at its peak.

Your tower collects a lot of dust inside and you should periodically take the cover off and use canned air to spray out the dust so that the fan doesnt have to work so hard to keep the computer cool.

Also be sure to run a good virus protection program weekly.

Another thing that you should do to keep your computer running smooth is to take it to a professional at least once a year and have everything cleaned and everything to prevent any bad damage to your computer.

Professionals know what to look for and what to do to ensure that your computer is running and will continue running properly for you.Alot of people have problems with their computer and don't even know it,so after a while they have a big problem that can't help but to be noticed.
