Default The Cost of Coffee Going Up

This really stinks. I am a coffee lover. I can drink coffee all day long. That habit may have to change though as coffee prices are expected to go up again. Right now it's already at a 14-year high.

Coffee bean harvests have been poor and they expect that trend to remain the same.

The majority of coffee consumed in the United States is imported. The only state that produces coffee is Hawaii and they cannot possibly produce enough to satisfy all of America.

I buy Maxwell House. Thats what we prefer. It ranges in prices from $8.50 to almost $14.00 bucks where I live for a 34.5 ounce can.

If the prices go up much higher I might have to kick the coffee habit altogether. that won't be pretty in the morning!

I hate to hear that the cost of coffee is going up again but this is something that happens every few years so its not in the least surprising.

We also use Maxwell House, in fact we use the 100% Columbian blend and when there are sales on coffee, you are very likely not to see this particular coffee offered at the sale prices.

What I do, is to hit the sales when I find them and buy several cans at the same time and store them. That way, we can usually make it through the higher prices with no problem.

You can also go online to different sites and find cents off coupons that you can use on your favorite brands of coffee and then find a store that gives double coupons for even more of a savings. This way it will be cheaper for us all than having to pay the full price.

Also, be sure to check your newspaper for cents off coupons. Every little bit of savings helps.

I have to say that I am seriously glad that I don't drink coffee. Pretty soon people are going to need to work two jobs just to continue living a decent life, during a time when there aren't enough jobs to go around as it is.

The price of coffee going up, gas prices already sky high as well as cigarettes, things are just seriously getting out of hand!!!

I buy my name brand coffee at Walmart I typically pay $6 to $7.25 for a can of maxwell house. If it is higher I buy the cheaper off brands. I love coffee and drink it all year and sadly all day. I don't know what I would do if I could no longer afford to buy it.

I told my other half that the price of coffee is going to be going up and he didn't like that idea so he went out and bought 11 cans of coffee!!

This surprised me because he doesn't drink coffee every day. He only drinks it once in a while, so for him to go out and buy that much is funny!! Guess I may have to start drinking coffee so that it doesn't go bad on him.
