The House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that would extend unemployement benefits. The bill will now go to the senate, where it will either stand alone, or be tacked onto another bill for approval. The President is talking veto on this one.

With the rate of unemployment in this country rising as it has, I think extending the unemployment benefits is a good thing. The economic stimulus checks are a plus for all who get them, but for those who are
now unemployed, that money doesn't go very far.
