Default Tips for buying in bulk

Buying in bulk if a great way to save money with these few helpful hits.

1.Pay attention to the unit price when buying in bulk, it is not always a savings.

2.Keep track of the prices of your favorite household products and groceries. To have something to compare to.

3.Note the expiration dates of items when buying in bulk, a good price means nothing if it goes bad before you can you use it.

4.Designate a stockpile location for the bulk items you buy, to make sure you have room for everything.

5.Make sure you the proper containers to keep food in.

Tip #1 is definitely true...Many times when shopping at bulk stores such as Sam's you see a huge container for what appears to be a reasonable price. However, if you look at the unit price it would be cheaper to buy several individuals at your regular store.

I've never been in a Sam's Club but I have some friends who swear by it and others who say it isn't so great.

The ones who like it of course say that they get awesome deals. The ones who don't say that half of what you buy ends up in the trash because it;s too much and goes bad. I guess that just depends on what it is.
