Too Many People Going Hungry!

Oh My Gosh! I just read that 17 million people have had a difficult time putting food on the table for their families and have gone hungry this year! Thats 15% of Americans!

I of course knew that this was a big problem but never knew any actual numbers. This is just unreal to me. This is America! What is going on here!

I cannot imagine looking down into your child's eyes knowing they are hungry and having to say, "There is no food". Oh it just breaks my heart to think about it!

Sometimes we struggle to keep the bills paid and things but we have always been fortunate enough to figure things out. I have never had to wonder what I would feed the kids. What a terrible thing that is and people are facing that everyday!

If you can, be sure to donate to your local food pantry. Even if it's just a package of meat or a few canned goods... whatever you can spare once in a while. There is a child out there who really needs that. I am going to the grocery store tomorrow and picking up a few things to donate. It will make my heart feel good just as it will some child's belly!
