Default Turn Clutter into Cash

One great way to get rid of some of the clutter in your home and that is to have yourself a yard sale. This is a great way to get rid of a lot of clutter in your home, get yourself some extra cash as well as helping others by selling items that they want or need.

One rule we have around here is that if you want to put something into a yard sale and it doesn't sell then after the yard sale is over the items left behind are either tossed away or donated. This keeps our home from being cluttered right away again.

Of course this doesn't apply to EVERYTHING. Because there are some items that people put out in yard sales that people just aren't able to afford and the item is worth something. So those items you should hold onto. Though there are a lot of things that can be gotten rid of that are usually just in the way.

Last year we had a yard sale and it was myself, my mother and my sister. We had a yard full of stuff. Each of us made around $100.00 each from our sale.

Thats pretty good for getting rid of a bunch of clutter. Though once again we have more clutter that has accumulated over this past year so once again its time for another yard sale and a perfect time to add some cash to our wallets.

My mom has a house full of stuff that she has no room for and she should really consider to have a yard sale to make a few dollars on it and get it out of the house.

She has things that we had when we were little and things that she picked up o9ver the years and used once and packed it away.

Some of the stuff could bring her a pretty penny but I do not know if she would actually do it.I don't think that she wants to part with the stuff.

It can be very hard for some people to let go of things that they have collected over the years and of course things that their children played with or made when they were younger.

There are a couple of things that you can do to help them let go of some of these things.

1. Start off by reminding them that this stuff is just in the way, collecting dust and could really help someone else who is in need of this stuff.

2. Remind them that this would bring in some extra money into the household. Having extra money is great for anyone to have right now.

3. The room that would be cleared from getting rid of the stuff that has collected would give them more space to do a variety of things that they have possibly been wanting to do but didn't have the room.

I found a doll that was still in the box in the bottom of my closet that I have had for about twenty years or so.

It is a princess Leah doll in her wedding gown, the doll has never even been opened.

I put the doll on craigslist and got five hundred buck for it.So you never know what you might have that is worth money to someone else.

She could have many things hidden away that could possibly be worth a great deal of money and it sounds like you have already found at least one thing.

Let your mom know that the things that she is willing to get rid of could bring in a good deal of money into the home and make lots of room for things that she needs or wants, rather than things that she doesn't want or need.

There are a few people in my family who have had one heck of a time letting go of things from the past that were just in the way and collecting dust. Though after a good bit of persuasion and some time they finally started letting go of this stuff and discovered that they enjoyed having the extra room around the house and garage for other things or just to make it easier to move around.

Just be patient with your mom and let her know that things that are in her way aren't good and that extra money would be nice, extra space is always nice to have and so on. She will come around eventually and she will be thankful for your assistance.
