Default TV Offers

Did ya all know that when you accept one of those tv offers that allow you to try something for 30 days or what ever, that the time starts when you make the call!! So if it takes 2 weeks for the product you wanted to try to come in that you have only 2 weeks to make up your mind.

Now isn't that some crap! I think that it shouldn't start until you recieve the item your wanting to try, but this is how some businesses are able to start charging people before the people are ready.

I agree with you that this is an unfair practice. This is just another way for companies to make some extra cash - being able to start charging the customer as soon as the item is received, since most deliveries don't arrive for 4-6 weeks from the order date.

TV offers are some of the most deceptive kind of sales practices. The small print that scoots across the bottom of your TV screen with all the disclaimers cannot possibly be read by most people and the elderly are often targeted with these kinds of ads.

Remember that if "it seems too good to be true, it probably is", and watch these ads with this in mind. Buyer Beware!!

So true, but I don't get why this shit is allowed!! It is just another type of scam and should be stopped. Your right about how those disclaimers are written VERY small at the bottem of the screen. Even at my age I can't read those stupid things so how in the heck is someone with bad eye sight supposed to read and understand it all??

This is the kind of stuff that costs people their hard earned money for nothing.
