One thing I have done to save a lot of money is I got rid of cable, and just got me one of them converter boxes, I get all my local channels for free, after paying a one time fee for the box of 60 there are cheaper boxes,but wanted a good one, and 3 for the antenna, now no monthly cost to watch a bunch of nothing, that I was not watching any ways so why even have it.

I understand this would not be for everyone, but if you want to save hundreds a year this is a good option.
