Default Buying meat.

I hate to go to the store and purchase meat. I mean the prices are crazy. I decided to buy mine in bulk packages.

Chicken legs can be purchased in large bags. I buy these and then some chicken breasts. I then divide them and bag what I will use for a meal.

I also buy pork tenderloin and slice half of it for a roast and then the other into chops.

Beef is sold in many different ways. I buy a large roast and cut it up also for steaks. Round steak done up in mushroom soup is wonderful.

There are many ways to save on meat. Buying large and breaking into smaller packages saves me a bundle.

Default Re: Buying meat.

Buying meats in bulk and splitting it up for meals is a great way to save yourself some money.

We tend to purchase our meats in bulk as you do. Though we purchase usally a whole pig, half a cow and several whole chickens.

We have the meat delivered to a local butcher and he takes care of cutting up the meats for us. When we pick up our meats we usally have enough to fill both of our freezers.

We end up saving ourselves a whole lot of money by doing this, and we have enough meat to last us through the entire winter with quite a bit to spare.
