Default Help Needed On Kitchen Cabinets

Ok comming this summer my hubby and I are planning on completely tearing out our kitchen and starting over from scratch.

Our kitchen is orginal to the house which was built back in the mid 1960's.
It is of course extrememly old and extremely outdated.

One problem we keep running into is of course money. Every time we find cabinets that we would love to have installed into the new kitchen they are just WAY to expensive.

The only place we know of in our area to purchase cabinets is of course Lowe's. They do have some cheaper cabinets that we could use, but to be honest neither of us would be very happy with them..

I was hoping someone here would have some great ideas as to where we could possibly get the cabinets that we want at prices more fitting to our budget.

Other than cabinets for our kitchen, we will also need to replace the counter tops, add in electrical outlets because our kitchen only has 3 outlets in the entire room!!! This is a pain when your cooking a huge meal for the entire family. We will also be tearing out the walls and ceiling as well and replacing them. We want to give the kitchen and old time feel with updated appliances which we already have.

Any ideas or suggestions sure would be appreciated on this one. We really want to get things planned out this winter so that come spring we can begin the demolition and know exactly what we are doing and where to get the items that we need to make the kitchen the way that we want.

I found this site that seems to be cheaper then Lowes, with very nice cabinets in all types of wood.

Centsgirl you ROCK!!!! According to this site that you gave me we can get the new cabinets that I am wanting in our kitchen for around $3,000. Where at Lowe's the same thing or very close to it was going to cost us nearly twice that much if not a bit more!!!

Thank you so much for helping me out on this one!!! Because we are going to be saving a whole heck of alot of money, maybe we can even get another room in the house done as well in the same summer!!!!

We are both thankful that you posted this for us to see. Things are expensive enough right now and saving every penny possible is important. I cant thank you enough!!

Another option is to visit several lumber companies because you may be able to find exactly what you want at even lower prices simply because the cabinets are being discontinued.

Also be sure to check the lumber companies Discount Room. Most of them have one and thought the products in them are really cheap, they are put in there because that model was also discontinued.

Check at lesser known lumber companies in your area, you will be surprised at what you may find.
