This is a neat email that was sent to me today. The worst part about it all is that it is quite true, and we have allowed this to happen.

Resolving this problem would be a great way for this country to really cut down on some serious expenses.


You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families Have two parents, two children, and live in California ...

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, And gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention...

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 Per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for His family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now Has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and Local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00..

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or Welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per Year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps And welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal Still has $ 31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal Now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after School ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, But Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Do you get it, now?

I know I don't think this is right but this happens every single day and we all are just allowing it to happen. I strongly believe that shit like this needs to be stopped and stopped now.

Yes it needs to stop but people need to rethink where they point their fingers. The illegals aren't the only source of this kind of problem.

There are alot of legal american citizens who live the exact same way as the illegals and get away with it. We pay their bills and guess what we don't seem to care.

Its time that things were fair and by fair I mean across the board. It doesn't matter to me what country you hail from as long as you put into the pot like the rest of us.

I am tired of paying for my neighbors. I work hard and don't get to enjoy my money. I get to put tons into taxes and then I don't get the benifit of any of the programs that it pays for because I make too much money. HMMM!

I hear ya there. Immigrants are not the only problem, but that is a good place to start and get things straightened out.

I know there are a whole lot of people who live just like this and I also agree that it is bullshit that those who work hard and still have trouble getting ends to meet is just to much and it shouldn't be that way.

Though to be honest on this, I would rather pay for someone who actually belongs in this country rather than someone who does not. At least for a while any way.

Though I would like to see all of this stopped so that people are no longer able to lounge around on my dime watching tv while I am busting my ass working for every penny I can.

What bothers me about the situation is the fact that there arent enough jobs here for our own people so who will actually pick up the tab? The few of us that are working is who.

Its great to help out those who are less fortunate than we are but there has to be a limit put on just what that help will entail. Our own citizens dont get all these breaks, so whats up with that?

And will these people be getting jobs in the future? And where will they find the jobs that we cant find? Will jobs be made for them? Theres a lot of questions on this situation that I would be interested in knowing the answers to.

I have a feeling that when the illegal immigrants come into this country and are not able to find work because as we all know right now there is no work to be had, then of course those who are busting their asses to work and support their families will also have to fork over money to help support these immigrants as well.

It is enough to really tick me off that is for sure. I think that ALL illegal immigrants should be shipped back to where they came from, to allow citizens the chance to get the jobs which are actually available right now.

Hell most of these immigrants are getting better treatment than I do on a daily basis.

I know that they could be recieving or will be getting job training (which means citizens will in fact lose jobs), free use of phone and internet, free food, comfortable place to sleep, entertainment like movies, games and more. All of this will of course be paid for thanks to the American Citizens!!! Now that is something that really pisses me off.

I think it is about dam time that our government starts taking care of the people who belong here rather than those who sneak in. We have enough to worry about such as lack of jobs, homelss, illnesses and so on.
