Default New Uses for Old Items

I am sure we all repurpose things around our house but at the same time there is always more that we can do to reuse items and save some money. So here are a few idea that I will share.

1. Swiffer products are a bit expensive, especially the refills. Instead of putting all of that money out why not just use old clothing for swiffer covers or handi-rags.

2. Use white cotton rags as band aids instead of buying them. All you have to do is cut them into strips and boil them. They are thenh just as sterile as a band-aid.

3. Why do we put all of that money out for diapers just to let our babies wear them for an hour or so and then throw them out in the trash? Buy or make your own cloth diapers. Not only will you save money but make the enviroment better too.

4. For that matter, why don't we make our sanitary napkins? Ya, you probably think I am crazy but seriously why not! That stuff isn't cheap either!

Another thing to do to make things feel new and reuse them in a different manner is to buy covers for your furniture.this will allow you to change the entire color scheme of your living room and more.

You can also use sheets as drapes for your window covering needs. You can wrap a sheet around a curtain rod and make a drape out of it.This can save tons of money for expensive curtains and drapes.

I have done that and it can look really neat. You would never know that it was an old sheet. You can always look for curtains and sheets for that matter at second hand stores. You can fins all different colors and patterns. The sky is the limit. Oh and best of all... cheap! lol

Well you could also save a ton of money by reusing your butter containers and such for storage containers.

The current saying to live by is: Reduce,Reuse,Recycle.

You can make money while recycling. Take in your soda and beer cans for the aluminum price if you live in a state where there is no bottle deposit.

Reduce the amount of waste you create by reusing as many things as you can. I reuse my jars for canning or for storage along with the plastic containers with lids.

Boxes are hard to come by so I save a few. You can break them down for later use and all you need then is some packing tape. Saves a few bucks and the environment all at the same time.
