Default Paying To Charities

Everyone is pretty much doing what they can to save money, but even with everyone saving money I wonder if anyone puts aside any money for charities?

I try to, but it isn't always much, though I figure that I at least give what I can which is more than they would have had if I hadn't given anything.

I wish I had the money to give hundreds or even thousands to different charities, but that is seriously out of my budget.

I know people who have money to spare yet they refuse to help any kind of charity what so ever. I guess that is why they now have so much money saved up, but it is sad that they can't help others. I rarely ever have any change in my pockets or purse. It all goes into charitiy collections.

I was just a little bit curious if you all put money aside for charities or do you save it all??

Default Re: Paying To Charities

I do give every year. This year I gave to the policemens association and purchased a coupon book from the local animal shelter.

I don't save money for this purpuse I just give when they call. Its easier for me to do it this way as any money saved usually disappears quickly.

Now for those who don't have the cash to give there are many things that you can do. If you find that you have canned items that sit on your shelf for long periods donate them to the local food bank.

When you go to the eye doctors look to see if there is a box for old glasses and drop what you have in there.

I am seeing blue boxes all over the place now. These you can drop clothing, shoes and other items into. If you don't need it,want it or use it,give it away.

It isn't always about getting a write off on your taxes its about helping those in need. Karma says that you will get back tenfold what you give, so why not?
