Default Save Money On Bills

Well now that the weather for the most part has finally decided to warm up, it time to give things like the clothes dryer a break until next winter.

One way that we always save ourselves money every month is to hang our clothes out to dry. This saves us a lot of money and it makes the clothes smell so nice.

We also don't run our air conditioners very often at all. This also saves us money. We just open our windows and let the fresh air blow through the house and it makes it so nice.

When we do need to run the air conditioners we don't set them to the lowest temp possible. We only use them to simply cool off the house to make it comfortable. I know of several people who want their homes cooled off to around 65 degrees and that is in my opinion a waste of energy and of course it sure doesn't help the environment.

Also rather than going to the store and buying ice cubes or popsicles, we make them here at home ourselves. The popsicles we simply freeze some kool-aid. These make great popsicles for the kids to enjoy. We also make fruit smoothie pops as well which seem to go faster than the kool-ad ones and they contain no sugar.
There are a lot of different things that we can all do to save money on a daily basis. We just have to be willing to go that extra step to do it.

We installed ceiling fans in all of the rooms in our house eccept for the bathroom and this has saved us over thirty dollars a month on our light bill.

We set the thermostat on seventy three and we turn it off during the day leaving just the fans running. It doesn't get to hot for us in there that it takes forever to cool the house back down this way.

It saved us another fifteen dollars a month doing this,we also make sure to turn out all of the lights and we open the window blinds whenever possible for extra light.

Often times it is the small things that really can add up and make a big difference in the utility bills.

Which is why everyone should stop and take a few minutes to go through the house and make note of everything that can be done to lower the bills every month.

Like I said before I have started to switch all of my light over to those new bulbs which are supposed to really make a difference on energy usage. I am looking forward to seeing what the difference is. I have a pretty big house so the electricity bill always makes me cringe! I have about half of my lights switched. I am gettin' there!

I also hang clothes outside as much as possible, not towels or jeans though they get to hars even if you have used liquid fabric softener.

I found if you turn the gas of to your furnace it will save a few bucks ever month ever penny in my pocket, and not the gas company's is better.

My wife does our laundry once a week to try to save money on the water and electric bill.
We have bought energy efficient products in the past few years, like a front-load washer and a dryer, freezer, and water heater (of course those go out every ten years or so) to save money on bills, and I'm guessing a lot of money too.
In the next couple of years we plan on buying a new dishwasher and refrigerator, and most likely a new air-conditioning unit (I hope we can buy a Trane or one simular to it).
