Default Saving Money on Entertainment

If you think about what you spend in one month's time to keep yourself entertained you will probably be shocked. It adds up quickly.

There are tons of things that you can do to keep yourself entertained without spending a dime!

One of my favorite things to do that is free is to read a book. Oh how I love to curl up in bed at night after a long day at work and read. It is so relaxing. Best of all I get my books from the library for free.

I'm not a big movie watcher but my kids are. The cost to go the movies or even rent them is ridiculous so while I am picking out my books at the library the kids pick out movies. Again for free.

Sometimes we go for walks or go fishing.... both free (except for the fishing license). Both actually very calming and relaxing.

Even just sitting out on the porch, relaxing sipping coffee is very entertaining. You can watch the birds and the sky. I know it sounds silly but try it. Sometimes thats all you need. And again... it's free!

I love to sit on my porch, and watch the birds, I throw them any extra bread I have, or crackers, they really gather in my yard, gives me a lot of enjoyment to watch them.
For me I enjoy watching movies in the evening hours, so I got netflix much cheaper then renting them at a video store, or worse going to the movies, it is only 8.00 a month for all the movies I want to see,I love it.

For us with movies, we have netflix, for only 8.00 a month, you can watch all you want, much cheaper then going out to rent movies.

I have had Netflix for about 9 years and love it but I am getting really tired of them raising the prices. It has gone up already this year and effective Sept. 1 it is going up again. I don't see why they are charging more for the same products when they have no raised expenses.

Guess it's time to choose if we are keeping it or not. Redbox also has very reasonable rental rates.
