Default Tips to help you save

Here are some great ideas to help just about anyone save themselves some money.

1. Switch your internet over to a slower speed. This can be a hugs savings and often times there isn't much of a difference in how you will surf the internet.

2. Rebates of course are something that most of us shop around for, yet never follow up on them. Be sure to get your rebates and never just forget about them.

3. Rather than purchase movies or books, use your local library. You just can't beat FREE!!

4. Trash removal. In some areas there is a rather large competition on garbage removal and people are getting notices in the mail regarding this. If you are one who recieved a notice like this, contact the company who currently removes your trash and see if they can beat the price in the notice you recieved.

5. For the places that you shop at the most, sign up for their rewards card. Most places offer these cards now days. If your going to spend your money there may as well get ALL that you can out of it.

6. Shut vents in rooms of the house that are rarely used. This works really well for homes that have forced air heating and cooling.

So these are some tips that I hope you all will find useful in your homes.

Those are all great tips, and I especially like the one about garbage collection.

The company we use right now only charges $18 per month with a limit of 6 bags per week. After those 6 bags, each additional bag will cost you 75 cents which is very reasonable both on the base price and the amount of bags allowed per week.

Other ways to save right now is on fruits and veggies. We are all putting in gardens and when we do, we share what we have.

Some of us grow certain things, and others will supplement what we have planted in their own gardens so we have a huge variety of vegetables to choose from.

And dont forget, that most veggies do not have to be canned, they can be frozen when prepared properly, and this will also save a lot of money on utilities as you dont have to use the stove. Nor will you have to use the air conditioner to cool the house from your canning efforts.

Those are good tips moneysense...makes sense to save money too.

We keep the vents closed off in the rooms we don't use, which is only two rooms, a small bathroom that doesn't get used much and the bedroom right next to our inside blower unit.
If we opened the vent in the room closest to the blower, it would freeze in the summer and be too hot in the winter.

During the summer months it would get really hot in our home if we left the blinds open, so now we keep them closed.
One set of blinds started to mess up on us and we ended up buying a new set for our back sliding door.
With the new blinds it stays a lot cooler in our morning room and kitchen during the afternoon when the sun is on that side of the house.
