Default Wasting Less

For the past few months I have really been watching how much we waste things. I have taken steps to cut back on the wasting and I have noticed a difference.

I am talking about preparing too much food, kids wasting paper towels and so on. These things really do add up and make a difference on the budget!

In example, I used to cook too much food for dinner. My husband has a large family and they always pop in at different times a day. So I would always cook a little extra just in case someone would stop in. But many times that food would end up going into the fridge and then out to the trash. So now I only make enough for us. If someone stops in, there are pizza rolls in the freezer lol!

Here is another example.. something my youngest always does. She will get a popcicle out of the freezer and then use three paper towels to wrap it in because it's cold! I have talked to her and explained that they cost money and that it wasting them. She now uses a kitchen towel instead which I can just wash and re-use!
