Default Water Conservation

Did you know that April is Water Conservation Month? I really didn't know that but I am glad it is. I think it is really important to try and save our natural resources as well as money. We need to do both and have both on our minds.

There are lots of ways to save water and money by saving water.

One thing is to be conscience about what plants you plant outside and where you place them. Some plants require more water so plant them where you can save rainfall water to water them with rather than tap water.

Check your toilet to be sure it using the minimum water necessary and not leaking.

Don't use the dish washer unless you have a full load- same goes for the clothes washer. they use a lot of water. Washing half loads is a waste of water and electricity for that matter.

Don't stand in the shower using water for longer periods than necessary.

Water is a natural resource that is precious. We can't afford to waste it.

I never start my washer unless I have a full load, it not only saves on your electric, and water the more you use your washer the sooner it will break down.

Water conservation is one of the most necessary things we HAVE to do to keep our planet healthy and to preserve human, animal, and plant life on our planet.

Nothing that lives on our planet can survive without water so conservation of this valuable commodity should be utmost in our minds.

Even little ways of saving water helps. I have house plants so if someone leaves a partial glass of water sitting around, it goes on the plants instead of down the drain.

Little things like turning the water off while brushing your teeth, not letting the water run while washing and rinsing dishes all help us to conserve water.

If more people could imagine what our planet would be like without water, they would do a lot more to conserve it.

We blatantly waste our precious resources everyday and usually without a thought about doing so. Why are we like that? We all do need to make an effort to save our water and all of our natural resources.

Here are some other green money saving tips that might help everyone out.

1. Carpool. Estimated savings $650-$1,000 yearly.

2. Eat In. Estimated savings hundreds to thousands.

3. Borrow rather than buy. savings hundreds.

4. Grow vegetables. Savings $25 to $2,000.

5. Buy fuel effecient car. savings hundreds to thousands.

6. Home enrgy audit. Savings up to $570.

7. Adjust water heater temp. save $30-$475.

8. Make own cleaning products. save $200 or more.

There are so many things that we can do to save money and mother nature as well. The sooner we realize that mother nature cannot be replaced the better off we will all be.
