Default Websites.

You can check the websites for many different stores before you go shopping.

I did this today and the differences in prices was astounding. I first checked the walmart advertisement for my local store.

They have some great deals and this saves me time as I know before I get there which products are on sale.

The second website was Save A Lot. They have the best grocery prices around. They also have printable coupons for items they carry.

I could save $19 on their products with the coupons. I can also save another $50 or so by buying groceries there instead of at WalMart.

Saving money can be easy if you take the time to check the ads prior to going to the store.

Another good thing about some offline stores that have a web presence is that most of the time you can order your stuff online and either have it sent to the store, or have it ready for pick-up when you get there.

I know wal-mart has free site to store shipping, and it usually only takes a few days to get there.

Best Buy has it where you can order online, and it will be ready for you to pick up in about an hour or so in most cases.

These are the only two that I'm familiar with, but I'm sure there's other major stores that offer this luxury as well.

It sure saves a lot of time from walking the isles looking for what you want, and it will also save you money in the long run, because you're not buying stuff on impulse as you're walking through those same isles. Take wal-mart for example. I can't remember the last time I went in there and walked out with only the stuff I went in there to get. I'm always grabbing stuff that I never planned on getting when I left the house.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. Wal-mart also has items available that you can only buy online that aren't available in-store. Most of the time, these items will be much cheaper than comparable items that are in the store....

I know my local grocery store has a great thing going with online ordering. They have two locations (they're not close to me, unfortunately) that allow you to do your shopping online and then go to the store and pick everything up. What makes this so great is the fact that if you shop online, they have employees that will go around and pick out all of the items you ordered. This way, you will just have to go in, pay for your groceries and leave! This is at no additional cost to the shopper, and a definite time saver...

This is invaluable information. Thank you both so much for posting this as I am one woman who does not like shopping of any kind and have no patience with people in the stores or with waiting in line.

So being able to order the things I want, go in and pay for them and leave would be the perfect solution for me. Again, thank you both.
